Haas Construction Management was founded in 2003 with a simple premise: that better construction starts with better relationships — and the only way to grow is to earn the next project from the one in front of you.
What began as a small operation in Pompton Lakes has grown into a full-service construction firm trusted by Fortune 500 corporations, government agencies, and family-owned businesses across New Jersey. The model hasn't changed.
We invested in our own craftsmen, our own machinery, and our own equipment because that's the only way to control the work. We added a Central Jersey office in Iselin to be closer to our growing client base. And we built four distinct service models — Construction Manager, General Contractor, Design/Build, and Owner's Representative — because clients deserve a delivery method that fits the project, not the other way around.
What hasn't changed is the bench. The same project managers, the same superintendents, the same trades. The reason 60+ corporate, industrial, and institutional clients trust us with repeat work is the reason we trust them: we know each other.
"To achieve long-term longevity and controlled growth by providing superior construction services to our clients — resulting in lasting client relationships and business expansion through recommendation. To support these endeavors by attracting and retaining a team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable personnel."
From a single-office shop in Pompton Lakes to a multi-office operation serving statewide corporate and institutional clients, every milestone has been measured the same way: by the relationships we kept, not the contracts we signed.
HCM opens its doors as a regional construction firm focused on commercial and institutional work.
Investment in self-performed trades and owned equipment becomes a core operational advantage.
A second location in Iselin extends coverage and shortens response times for Central NJ clients.
Repeat business and referrals account for the majority of new work — exactly as the founding mission intended.
When you hand a project to HCM, you're hiring a firm that meets — and exceeds — the safety, financial, and operational standards of the largest corporate and government clients in the state.
